Bridgeside Guest House Local Area

LooeLooe HarbourThe historic towns of East and West Looe provide all you ask of a holiday in Cornwall. The busy East side has safe beaches a wide range of shops, cafés, restaurants, cosy Olde worlde pubs, The Banjo pier and a bustling harbour. The West is quieter, with a smaller selection of shops, cafes and pubs, a walk up to “Hannafore” gives stunning views out to sea and across to Looe Island. Looe diving centre, bowling green and tennis courts can also be found in this area.
Looe has one of the largest fishing fleets on the Cornish coast and many of the boatmen offer both leisurely boat trips around the bay and sea fishing trips, from a 2hour mackerel trip to a full day’s shark fishing! (We can assist with booking).
As well as having many lovely woodland and valley walks The South West coast path passes through Looe, and we highly recommend the 5 mile walk from Looe to Polperro suitable for all ages (the youngest member of our group was 7 months old and the eldest 71yrs!).

Picturesque Polperro is a quaint unspoilt fishing village with a pretty harbour, narrow streets, museum, shops galleries and charming pubs. Being only a 4 mile drive / two hour walk away is defiantly worth a visit.

One of Cornwall’s most popular attractions “ The Eden Project”
is an approx. 40minute drive from Looe and the places of interest listed below are all within an hours drive.
